ABOUT US...
Nest 946 is the local "nest" of the Polish Falcons of America, a non-profit fraternal benefit society owned by our insured members. Nationwide, Polish Falcon members belong to local nests within eight Districts. Members participate at the nest, district and national level in social, civic, athletic, and benevolent activities. Nest 946 is registered in Somerville, New Jersey and belongs to District 1. It currently has 260 members. Monthly meetings are held on the second Friday of the month at the Polish Falcon Camp Polanka in Hillsborough, NJ. No meetings in July and August.
The Polish Falcons of America promote cultural awareness within our membership and our communities. As our ethnic traditions are passed on from generation to generation, we proudly preserve our rich heritage while documenting and publishing the many achievements and activities of the Polish-American community and Poland. Nest 946 financially supports a Polish Language School and a Scholarship Fund for member children by sponsoring various annual dances including a Falcon Ball, Sweetheart Dance and others. We also organize trips to various destinations. Nest 946 also participates in various bowling tournaments and is an annual participant in the Polish Falcons of America National Bowling Tournament. The nest also proudly marches in the annual Pulaski Day Parade in New York City and participates in other cultural events. Nest 946 also publishes the Nest946News, a monthly newsletter for it's members.
