About Us:
Polish Falcons of America, a non-profit fraternal benefit society owned by our insured members. Nationwide, Polish Falcon members belong to local nests within eight Districts. Members participate at the nest, district and national level in social, civic, athletic, and benevolent activities. Nest 946 was formed in 1949 and is registered in Somerville, NJ and belongs to District 1. It currently has 260 members. Monthly meetings are held on the second Friday of the month at the Polish Falcon Camp Polanka in Hillsborough, NJ. No meetings in July and August.
The Polish Falcons of America promote cultural and fraternal awareness within our membership and our communities. As our ethnic traditions are passed on from generation to generation, we proudly preserve our rich heritage while documenting and publishing the many achievements and activities of the Polish-American community and Poland. Nest 946 financially supports a Polish Language School and a Scholarship Fund for member children by sponsoring various annual dances including a Falcon Ball, Sweetheart Dance and others. We also organize trips to various destinations. Nest 946 is an annual participant in the PFA National Bowling Tournament marches in the annual Pulaski Parade in New York City.

25th ANNIVERSARY DINNER-DANCE - SEPT. 25
Nest 946 is sponsoring a 25TH ANNIVERSARY DINNER-DANCE in commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of our Polish School on Saturday, September 25, 2010 beginning at 6:30pm at the Polish Falcon Camp Polanka. The dinner-dance features a delicious Polish buffet-style dinner, cocktail hour with hors-douvres, open bar with all drinks included, a presentation of awards, a special program by our school children, and dance music by DJ Gregg.
Tickets at $65 per person are now on sale at LAMPOL TRAVEL, 312 So. Main St. in Manville. Tickets may also be reserved by calling Regina Grodzki at 908-722-3562 or email tickets@nest946.com .
A souvenir program book will be printed and proceeds will go to support our Polish School, our scholarship fund, our orphans in Poland fund, and other endeavors. We appeal to your generosity and ask you to place an advertisement in this year’s book or become a sponsor. Cost of advertisements is: Full page = $100.00, 1/2 page = $50.00; 1/4 page $30.00; Single line name booster = $5.00. TERESA LACHOWSKI PARADE GRAND-MARSHAL
Nest 946 will be marching in the 73rd Annual Pulaski Day Parade in New York City on Sunday, October 3. This year the Nest 946 grand marshal is Teresa Lachowski. Aides to the grand marshal are Ed Ciesla and Mike Lachowski. Buses will leave from the Polanka in Hillsborough at 10:30am and return at 6:00pm. Call 908-722-3562 for more info.
TRIP TO “JOSEPH” IN LANCASTER, PA - OCT. 9
Nest 946 is organizing a bus trip to the Millenium Theatre in Lancaster, PA on Saturday, October 9, 2010 for a performance of “JOSEPH”. This depiction of this classic story will magnify the many qualities that make this story appeal to all ages. Experience a cast of 45 professional adult and children actors, dozens of live animals gracing the aisles, several amazing dream sequences including Joseph in his colorful coat “flying” over the audience, larger-than-life staging which includes a spectacular Egyptian palace scene spanning 300 feet and wrapping around three sides of the audience, plus, twenty original songs.
The bus will leave from the Polanka at 11:00AM and return at 10PM. The trip includes roundtrip bus transportation, a smorgasbord lunch at the Hershey Farm Restaurant, and the 4:15pm performance of the show.
The cost is $119 for Nest 946 members; $129 for non members. Children under 12 are $75.
